Indiana Regional Cities Initiative/Fort Wayne Indiana

When advocating for a statewide initiative to fund regions within the state to create and execute place based economic development strategies, the Indiana Economic Development Partnership turned to Casey’s Company to present the Durham, NC story as proof of concept and encourage state officials to support the $89M state allocation.  Following the state’s approval, Casey has continue to advise the Greater Fort Wayne Indiana region on the advocacy and execution of their specific strategy, which was approved for funding under the new program by the State in 2015.

Casey says:

“Eric Doden led the effort to create the Regional Cities initiative by the State of Indiana during his tenure as CEO of the Indiana Economic Development Partnership recognizing that place making plays a vital role in talent recruitment and economic development. Working with Eric now as the new CEO of the Fort Wayne regional cities initiative has been a rewarding opportunity to be part of the beginning of another major community renaissance.”
